Josie McSwane (b. circa 1989-90) is an actress from Long Island, New York. For A Chorus Line, she portrayed the role of Kristine Erlich in the theater production in CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, New York.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Josie McSwane grew up somewhere in the South Fork of Long Island in a family of six siblings, consisting of three brothers Dillon, Dustin and "Jr Cox", two sisters Jessie and Victoria, and mother Nancy. In her youth, Josie spend most of her time homeschooling. When Josie was 16, she got a job as a teaching artist at LivingWaterChurch in Riverhead.
College Life[]
Josie attended college at Suffolk County Community College. During her college years, Josie got a job as a waiting staff at Topping Rose House in Southampton, NY. She graduated in the class of 2011. Josie left her job at Topping Rose House in 2015.
Current Life[]
Josie now works as a theater actor in CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, NY, and in Theater Three in Port Jefferson, NY. She continues her teaching artist career at LivingWaterChurch.
Role on A Chorus Line[]
In December 2022, during the 50th season of CM Performing Arts Center, Josie auditioned for the role of Kristine Elrich on A Chorus Line and landed the role. With her role as Kristine, her parts include her singing in "Sing!". She is also an understudy actor for Cassie Ferguson and Sheila Bryant. When Josie is either absent or understudying both roles, ensemblist Katy Snair will understudy her role of Kristine. The show ran from January 28 through February 11, 2023.
